“We write accolades for the pen.
We disregard what it writes on.
We cast aside, crumpled and crushed,
Those pieces of paper, torn and hushed.
Pen’s now become a metaphor
And paper has now been replaced.
Fewer are now masters of lore
For life has now quickened it’s pace.
Yet I pen my thoughts down in ink,
As tribute to pen and paper.
Much they did offer us to think
Wisdom roots through pen and paper.
Words punched down on keys of keyboards
Manifest not, your thoughts to me.
Your soul can not plug in through cords
And flow electronically.”
